HISTORY:
The “Pinus Sibirica" is one of the two species of Pine tree and is native to northern Mongolia and parts of Siberia, Russia. The country has about 1.8% of the world's population of Pine trees, covering over 689,3 thousand hectares of land. Nuts collected from the trees are becoming more and more important in naturally grown goods with an emphasis on sustainable harvesting.
VISION:
The Pine Nut cluster was established to develop this cycle into an economic driver. In recent years, Pine nut collection shadowed illegal harvesting, forest destruction, and obstructing the cycle of growth, with the newly established cluster all relative parties have a common goal and mindset focusing on sustainability.
